Long story shortened: When my dad tried to get ss they couldn't find him. Turns out his birth certificate wasn't for LeRoy A. Sanderson, it was for Archer LaRoy Litchfield. We can't even find out if his mom & the man listed on the record, Frank LaRoy Litchfield, were married. We know Frank was married to Eva Reed in 1909, but my dad was born in 1919. If any body out there has any records or info please let me know. Also I've tracked the Litchfield branch from Lawrence and Judith Dennis down to 4th generation of kin to John born 2/18 1760 but between him and the next trackable ansestor, Francis Litchfield born 11/19 1849 I find nothing. Does any one have any info on this missing generation? As to Sandersons, the name was changed when my ggf applied for citizenship in 3/11 1893. He was from Treleborg, Sweden. The Williamsons were my dad's mom's family in Spotsylvania, Va. and the Lowes I married into.
