They Came Through Mississippi: The Lowery Sugg Connection

I grew up listening to my daddy and his brothers and sister telling stories about their youth. They were always talking about this relative or that in their stories. I always thought that when it came time for me to remember those stories, that they were imbedded in my mind and I would be able to recall them. Last year about this time, I realized that was not true, and most of the people who could help me had already passed on. I started trying to put things together from my daddy's memories, Aunt Irene's notes and memories, and becoming a pest to all relatives trying to find out more about our past. I lay no claim to being a genealogist. Most of my information comes from older relatives memories, notes, and the internet. I cannot say that everything here is correct, but it is correct to the best of my knowledge. Welcome to the sharing of our family history to the best of my knowledge. Doing this, I have "met" many ancestors that I admire; I have met many "cousins" over the internet that I now consider friends, and have become closer to my family. So as we Southerner's are so well known for saying: "Come on in and visit awhile." and "Ya'll come back, you hear"
