Harriet Madonna Harrison (daughter of John Thomas Harrison and Mary Matilda Redfield) was born November 24, 1904 in Roswell, Chaves County, New Mexico, and died September 06, 1988 in Fresno, Fresno County, Calif.. She married Carl Lee Lowry on August 14, 1923 in Fresno, Fresno County, Calif., son of William Pinkney Lowry and Mary Etta McConnell.

Born on Haggerman Ranch near Roswell, New Mexico and moved to Roswell as a child according to narrative of older sister Valree. Verbal accounts to C. Lee Lowry by Harriet Madonna indicates they then moved to Carlsbad on Jan. 1,1914, then back to Haggerman, then Lakewood for 2 yrs.
In Aug. 1919 she, Ed and their mother moved to Bisbee to live with with Joe when their parents separated, J. T. joined them later after driving a herd of horses somewhere. Father stayed in Lakewood, later he went to Molina [20 miles south of Roswell].
In the summer of 1920 she and Ed went to Molina where they lived in a railroad section house [and Portales for 2 mos], her mother came back in spring or summer of 1921, part of the time after this they lived in Roswell-- parents later separated again.
During 1920 her mother and J. T. moved to Clovis, Calif. following Valree and Henry Hamilton.
In June 1922 she and Ed came to Calif. with their parents on a Santa Fe RR pass to Walnut Creek where Valree and Henry and Uncle "Lee" Armistead Harrison lived. She said Uncle "Lee" plowed fields. Later in June, all except Uncle "Lee" went to Fresno, [ 2nd and Belmont ] later they worked in the figs at Merced Falls for two weeks. They returned to Fresno to obtain work on the SJ&E [San Joaquin & Eastern Railroad] which served the Southern California Edison Co's. hydroelectric construction along the upper San Joaquin River. Henry Hamilton probably went to work in Fresno, he later started his own garage there.
In the summer of 1922, Ed , Jake and father worked for the SJ&E in Jose Basin; Jake and Ed were at Auberry until spring of 1923; her father bought a service station in Reedley, where they moved.
She had her first date with Lee Lowry at the 1923 Saint Patrick's Day Dance in Auberry, and they were married August 14, 1923 in Fresno.
