Isaac Newton McConnell (son of John Hewlett McConnell and Nymphia Wade) was born August 02, 1851 in Hardin County, Tennessee, and died October 09, 1928 in Izard County, Arkansas. He married (1) Eliza Cleveland on December 31, 1872 in Independence County, Arkansas. He married (2) Martha E. Moser on Abt. 1877 in Independence Co, Arkansas, daughter of Jacob W. Moser and Melissa Minerva.
Notes for Isaac Newton McConnell: The U. S. Census of 1880, Izard County, Arkansas enumerated Isaac N. McConnell, 28, his wife Martha E., 18, and his son James T., 6/12. My initial information about Isaac was obtained from Elizabeth Schuler Mac Morris Chupet, the granddaughter of his older brother, James Perry McConnell. The Family Tree Maker, CD-# 244, Marriage Index, Arkansas 1850-1900 lists the marriage of Isaac to Eliza Cleveland on December 31, 1872 in Independence Co, Arkansas. This corroborates the information from Elizabeth Schuler. In September 2000, I was contacted by Aline Luoma with regard to a submission I had made to Family Tree Maker [Genealogy .com]. Aline is the great-granddaughter of Rebecca Elizabeth McConnell Ginn, an older sister of Isaac. Aline supplied information about the date and place of death and burial of Rebecca; the burial of her husband, Benjamin Franklin Ginn, their daughter, Nymptha Elizabeth Ginn Cunningham and her husband, Rufus Isaiah Cunningham. Aline also supplied the burial location of Isaac, his wife and their son, James Thomas. The World Family Tree Super Bundle 9 contains further information about Isaac, his wife Martha E. Moser, their five children; and includes seven generations of ancestors of Martha, going back to1623 in Hetzweiler, Bavaria, Germany. Aline wrote me that the submitter was a Linda Preston, I'll try to contact her about the more recent generations.
