Welcome to my page.. I have spent many hours going over the info, here and other places.. I still cannot fit this jigsaw together yet.. Maybe you can help?? My name is Robert Lane Lowery.. My father is, or was George Robert Jackson Lowery.. The info that I have is he was born April 17, 1932.. Where?? Unknown honestly, but I have a reference to Kentucky, from some info in Georges' military files.. I have no way to confirm this however.. His last military station was in Iceland.. Near the year 1959?? His service was centered around Communications, or so I remember, again from his records.. Discharge was at Hutchinson Naval Air Station, Hutchinson Kansas, around 1960.. Oh, and about the records.. I have an ex-girlfriend who figured it would be ok to take them and dispose of them.. Another story for another time.. Anyway, I also have reason to think that maybe George was involved with some "darker" stuff during his military career.. As for Georges' parents?? I have absolutely no info, other than maybe he was raised by a family named Hunt.. I also have heard the names Gladys, Vera Pauline, and maybe an Harriet or Mable.. I again have no info to confirm this.. He lived in Illinois in 1962 for a fact, because I was born then.. In Des Plaines.. Just outside Chicago.. Shortly after, my parents split up, and I went with George to live in East Gary Indiana.. I'm told I was 2 at this time..(1964).. It's possible that a woman named Norma, went along, or was involved with George at this time.. When I was 6, I was returned to my mother.. I don't know why.. Mom won't talk about it, still... Fast forward to 1996 or 7.. I was informed that George had passed away on May 12, 1989.. Wow!! ( gasping for air from the kick in the teeth).. I was also informed by Phyllis, my mother, that George may have fathered another child named Juanita, from Maryland?? Whos mother I don't know.. Myself and my sister Cynthia Pauline Rhoten, maiden name Lowery, have no knowledge to go on to find our fathers' family.. George died young at 47 yrs old.. I don't even know how.. I know that George raced cars either before or after his military career.. And last but not least.. George was also called a "ladies man".. He was Scottish, and so was my mother "Bruce".. Are there any people out here in cyberland who can help???
