Moxham Family of Ireland and Australia Updated October 8, 2005
About Our Family Research
The Moxham family's history can be traced back to their Irish roots in County Longford, Northern Ireland in 1631. Some say the name originated in England, others say the family was possibly originally French Huguenot.
Nevertheless, this story starts with Robert Moxham of Ratharney and Rathsallagh which are townlands of Abbeyshrule, County Longford.
From this small town the descendants of Robert have scattered to other parts of Ireland, to America, New Zealand and to Australia.
The first Moxham Family Reunion in New South Wales Australia, will be held on 18 March 2006 at Northmead Primary School Hall, corner of Moxham and Kliens Roads, Northmead NSW AU. Family history books will be available at that time.
