The "Lubosch Family" in Oklahoma

Updated December 29, 2001

About Our Family Research

In the fall of 1958, at the age of 10, and 6 months after the death of his parents (father: Paul Hermann Gunther Lubosch; mother: Hildegard Klebusch), Bernd Sigmund Lubosch immigrated to America as an orphan from Berlin, Germany. His journey included stops in London, New York, Detroit, Seattle, Fairbanks, and Nome as he made his way by plane to an Eskimo village in Alaska called Teller Mission (since then renamed Brevic Mission) where his Aunt (Father's sister: Erika Elfrieda Lubosch) and his uncle (Don Joseph Abbott) met him for the first time. At the expense of his parent's death (illnesses), Bernd's dream to live someday in America was fulfilled.
