My great grandfather Reginald Charles Leader was born in Surrey England on 2 November 1884. He later came out to South Africa and married a lady by the name of Kate Maud Kerchhoff , born 1 October 1890, in Cape Town.
Unfortunately I do not know when they were married but my g/grandfather passed away 13 September 1964 and she passed away 1 May 1968.
They had 4 children. Reginald Ernest Leader Born 1913, Edith Mary Leader Born 1914, Claude Granville Leader Born 1918 and Gwendoline Joyce Leader Born 1920.
Aunt Gwendoline is still alive and living in Cape Town, South Africa.
Kate Maud Leader (nee Kerchhoff) had a niece called Edith who passed away on 2 March 1953.
She also had a sister-in-law called Mary (nee Newman), who passed away on 27 October 1951 and was married to Harold William Leader who passed away 29 May 1950.
They seemed to have a son called Harold, daughter-in-law Doreen and grandchildren Vaughan & Geoffrey.
His brothers name was Fred, sister-in-law Francis and grandchild Granville. His sister was Ethel, married to a Willie ?. My grandmother was Edith Mary Hewett (nee Leader) born 7 December 1914 in Cape Town and married to Benjamin Frederick Hewett, born 7 August 1911 in Cape Town. They had two daughters born in Cape Town, June Yvonne (born 1939) and Rosemary Jessie, my mother (born 1945).
I have most of the above information from collected newspaper clippings (except the last bit) but need some clarity of who is who and if anyone can add to our family tree.
