I am the youngest of 6 kids. My dad is the second to youngest of 5. He is the only boy. His dad died when he was 8 or 9. I don't know hardly anything about my dads side of the family. I only know that my grandfathers name was Emmet Stacey Rhoads. He was born in 1893 or 1895. My grandmother was Mable Ellen Chapman Rhoads Pierce. She was born in 1898. She died on March 9, 1984. Other than that I really don't too much as yet. I do know that when the doctor filled out my dads birth certificate he added in the "E" in my maiden name and he left off my dads middle name which was supposed to be James. I do know that my family is all from Iowa. My dad says that there are family records that go back as far as the Indians that his family descended from. Unfortunately for me the Indians didn't keep a written record for me to be able to check. I hope to be able to fill in the gaps in my family history so I can pass this on to my son.
