I am researching the LUOMA family from Colorado. John Jalmer Luoma was born in Leadville, Colorado on August 13 1900 (1899) and had five brothers and two sisters. His sister Alma and Hilia lived in Sacramento, California. He worked as a cook for the government surveyors, was a miner at Climax and was a carpenter when they built Camp Hale in 1940.
John married Viola A. Kangas (born August 24, 1904 in Cederedge, Colorado) at Sargents, Colorado on June 14, 1927. Viola had three sisters and four brothers. Her brother Sam lived in Anaheim, California and her youngest brother Bill lived in Hayward, California.
In addition, I am also researching my wife's (Judy) side of the family. Herman Carstens from Illinois area, whose father; Hartwig Carstens and mother, Williamina, both from German. Also, Gottlieb Low (born: 6/3/1846) from Wittenburg, Germany and Ricke Groteke (dob: 10/11/1853) from Hazen, German. Also, Samuel Pugh from England and Jessie Bailey from England.
Any information would be appreciated. I am also willing to share the information that I already have.
