I have been searching the Hudson-Wilson Line since 1964. A lot of the information came from my grand-parents on both sides. I started researching the family lines as a young teenager. The first written research I did was in Family Bibles, mostly the Wilson and Malone Bibles. As I progressed through the years, I searched Census records, cemetery records, interviewed family members, finally put queries on genealogy boards on the internet.
Sometimes my searches proved fruitful, sometimes not. I've managed to glean at least "tid-bits" of information from each search. These "tid-bits" led to more information, gradually building enough information for a book, which I hope to publish in the near future.
I know that information on the earliest lines I'm kin to is probably forever lost. The Hudson's came to Sunter Co, GA from Jefferson Co, GA and their ancestors came from Amelia Co, VA. The Wilson's came to Sumter Co, GA from Putnam Co, GA and before that from Edgecomb Co, NC. There is evidence that these Wilson's came to NC from VA.
There has been a reunion of the Wilson-Pryor Family every year for almost 100 years. It is held anually at Leslie, GA on the first Sunday in October.
