Hi folks, a call for help!
My Grandmother (Madiline Cortez) and Grandfather (William Gene Lyons, AKA Charlie D.O.B. April of 1923 or 24) we never met our Lyons side of the family. When me and my sister have asked for information on history all attempts have been blocked or mis-leading. My Father is Eugene Raymoned Lyons Sr. My father grew up in Maryland from what I understand. Then my Grandmother (Cortez) moved the family to Brentwood, NY (Long Island). Where I (Jr) was born in 1972 at Good Samartian Hospital in West Islip, NY. Then a year later my Sister Stacy Marie Lyons at Smithtown General Hospital. Alo 2 other siblings on my fathers side Peter 21 and Rose 19
From what I understand After the Second World War my Grandfather became Shell shock and was in Pilgrim state Mental Hospital, Then the Lyons Family from Maryland (Not sure on this) requested a Transfer to St Charles Mental Hospital in Maryland. My Grandfathers Brothers and sisters names from what I gathered are, Curtis, John, Stella, Becky, Jean, Bob. My GRGR Grandmother and Father names are Ema and Robert (Not to sure on this either)
William was also a Musician and played with Tennesse Erinie Ford.
If you can help please do, Me and my siblings would just like to meet this whole side that we have missed since birth and say Hi we would like to become friends for starters.
