I am in the process of researching The Lyons Family of Sour Lake Texas.
My Father Luther Landrick Lyons "Jack" was born to Luther Landrick Lyons brn. 1874 (New Orleans)and Minnie Lee Lyons (Heath)brn. 1878 (Bowie County). My Father Jack worked for Southwestern Bell as a combination man for 20 or more years in Beaumont or Sourlake area. Its told my father had a son by Louise Jones or possibly Mildred Schaeffer in 1931, named Jack Daniels Lyons. Later in life he married Bernice Albers and fathered a daughter Linda Lee Lyons. And finally met my mother Alice Marie Griffin (Pichoff) and fathered a son Larry Lee Lyons and a daughter Kimberly Sue Lyons. Sadley, he passed away September 12 1967 in Beaumont with cancer. Unfortunatly, I was only a little over one when he passed and have no memories. I do know that my father was a good man and deserves a history behind his name. Did you, your parents or grandparents know him?
