Growing up, I've known that my family tree was complicated (well, at least it seemed that way). Many divorces, the occasional child adopted by grandparents, and a few members having two families are some of the things that our in my wife's and my family tree. I've always been interested in genealogy, but once I became a father I became increasingly so. Then, in 2003, my wife had a family reunion which included many distant relatives of hers, and that is when I started collecting as much data from my family as I could.
In the end, my goal is to create as complete as possible record of her and my family for my two children. I would like to write some sort of book which could be passed down as an heirloom in my family, which would contain mini-biographies of those who have come before.
