Have been working on two major family trees. 1. the William Lyons / Mary C Hughs tree, and 2. the Daniel Harrison Mast / Ruia Jane Lowrance tree.
1. There will be another family Reunion of the "Lyon - Lyons Family" at the Stone Mountain Park in Wilkes County, North Carolina on Saturday June 19th, 2004. Those interested should contact Sanford "Sandy" Mast Lyons so that we can make plans for you and your family. The park has a covered area with 12 large tables that we have reserved for this event. Please contact me so that we can make plans based on how many to expect (last year we had 319 to attend)and also be able to determine what folks would like - food(last year we had the food catered and everyone seemed pleased with the menu and the service they provided). We ask that you bring pictures and information about members of our faimly, brief family tales and histories.

A book on the descendents of William & Mary Lyons is being edited and will be completed after this reunion. PLEASE send additional information on your family (names, births, deaths, marriages) so you and your family can be added in the book! The book given out on June 14th, 2003 needs to be updated before we publish it, so please prepare and send your correction and additions to me as soon as possible.
We will have a PA system and also be able to project pictures on a screen that reflect our anscestors and family members. It is important that we have one of your group act as a spokes person and tell about yor branch of the family and also introduce those that are in attendance.
For more information please contact us and also let us know the number in your family that will be attending the reunion. A catered lunch will be provided. The park gates open at 8 AM & this will be an all day event. Our hope is that all of the Lyons Clan can finally meet each other and our family tree can be completed!
Remember that this is a Lyon - Lyons family gathering and that our history (Family Tree) will include the Lyon as well as the Lyons data and pictures when "The Book" is published. Please get your information ready so that it can be included, this information will be entered into the database after the June 19th 2004 reunion. I hope that this will allow enough time for everyone to prepare information on all the members of their family including births, deaths, marriages, stories and tales that describe items of interest and will afford others an insight of time past and present.
