1. I am currently researching the "William Lyons and Mary Hughes Family". They were in the Wilkes County area of North Carolina around 1840 until now. There will be a Lyon - Lyons reunion at the Stone Mountain State Park in North Carolina on June the 14th, 2003. You are requested to contact me if you and your family would like to have more information about this planned event.
Have been somewhat successful in obtaining family data on them and their descendents and am still collecting more family tree info on ancestors.
2. Also compiling family information on the "Daniel Harrison Mast and Ruia Jane Lowrance Family" in the Watauga County area of North Carolina 1866 until now.
Had a family reunion at the Sugar Grove Community Center on October 20th, 2002. There were about 60 people attending and the food and fellowship were great. Aunt Gladys Mast had just turned 89 years old and Aunt Nora Mast Wilson was 95 years old the week before. They both told some things about our family history.
A small Family Tree Book on our Mast - Lowrance family was given to those that attended. Hope to get more information, stories,& photos for the next issue of this book.
