My research was begun in Spring of 2001 with some online information. This was followed by a visit to Brooklyn, NY, specifically Evergreen Cemetery where I located the graves of my grandmother's parents: Arthur and Margaret Molle and my grandfather's father and first wife: Elizabeth and Michael Schwerbel. These were found in North Mead. The search moved to Faded Flowers (a very old section of Evergreen) where the graves of Charles and Arthur Molle, and Dorothy Schwerbel (my grandmother's firstborn who died at 4 months of age). A visit to Lindenhurst, LI followed in November to visit relatives and explore Breslau cemetery where my grandparents and other family members are interred.
I have been fortunate that my family are packrats of ephemera: my Grandmother's postcard collection has been a wealth of information. Funeral and burial documents have also been helpful.
Coming from a small family (my father was an only child, my mother adopted), there are few living relatives to confer with in order to validate family information. Therefore, I'm hoping Genealogy.com and its databases will help.
