The Magnuson Line includes the surnames of : Magnuson, Anderson, Beck and traces from present day Nebraska to Iowa then Minnesota, and originating in Norway.
The Treese Line includes the surnames of : Treese (changed from the French version of Treeshea.) , Peak, Marr and traces from present day Nebraska to Anna, Illinois, to Kentucky, and eventually originating in France.
We have been having trouble tracing the Marr side of the family, which is my mother's father. He lived periodically in Omaha, NE , he served in the armed forces. From what we know he had a wife and children and would have been in Omaha around 1936-1940. All my mother remembers of him was that he was around periodically until she was around 3 or 4. As an adult her mother told her that he had passed away. Mother did visit a woman that she new only as Grandma Higgens. She was later told that this woman was her fathers mother. Grandma was remarried to a Mr. Higgens, but we are uncertain of her first name. She also died when my mother was very young.
