Alberto was born 1891 in Vicopisano (Tuscany Region) to Francesco Magnani and Martina (Marta) Orsetti. He had a brother, Michele, and three sisters, Pellegrina Lettima Maria, Quintina Laura Marghirita, and Livietta Caterina Palmira. He came to the USA in 1914, joined the Navy in 1917 and returned to Italy 1919. He married Pierina Nieri November 27, 1920 and they came to the USA. They lived in Richmond, Virginia. There he owned a restaurant and then a confectionery store. They had three children; Rena Joanna Magnani, Albert J. Magnani, and Silva Paul Magnani. Rena had one child, Larry J. Pollitt. Albert J. had two children, Timothy and Gregory, and Silva had four children, Joanna Maria (this little girl died at the age of 3),
Paula Marie, Joseph Michael, and Maria Andrea. Alberto died on
March 6, 1941. I never had the chance to know him, but everyone I have talked to says he was a very kind man. I could tell from his pictures that he was. I am still researching on the family. I hope to add more later. Paula, Granddaughter of Alberto.
