Maguire and Beattie, Co. Tyrone, Northern Ireland

Updated June 12, 2010

About Our Family Research

My ancestors include Maguires, Monteiths, Beatties, Shaws, Robinsons, Leitches, Moorheads, Watts, Johnstons, Kerrs, Pattersons, Fultons and Moores, all protestants (so far) from County Tyrone in (Northern) Ireland, particularly the countryside around Omagh and neighbouring villages. I'm particularly interested (to begin with anyway) in the Maguires (Church of Ireland), descending from John and his son William (=Eliza Jane Monteith) from around Gillygooly, and the Beatties (Presbyterian), descending from William (=___ Shaw) and his two sons, Timothy (=Margaret Robinson) and Samuel (=Isabella Leitch) from Kingarrow.
