About Our Family Research


My Great-Great-Great Grandfather is Benjamin Mahaney born sometime about 1774 in Greenville, South Carolina. He married a Clarissa Lynch around 1794, they had eight children, I descend from Ransom Pickney Mahaney his second son born 1808 in Greenville. They moved to Tennesee between 1810-1819 and lived in Blackburns Fork and Flynn's lick and other parts as well.
Ransom married Catherine Anderson of Blackburns Fork about 1832, Christopher Cloumbus"Lum" Mahaney was born to them on October 10,1842 in Jackson County, Tennesee, he Married Sarah Frances Hopper on September 18,1882, his second marriage like his father before him. He had four boys and one girl, his last son was John Columbus Mahaney my Grandfather who had my father Benjamin Hooper Mahaney on October 27,1921 he died in California on May 1,1999, my name is Kenneth Anthony Mahaney and I have two brothers Paul and Phil of California, I'm married to Deborah Frances Cid.
