For those researching the Majors surname on the Internet, there are still Majorses living in Dallas County, Alabama who are seventh-generation direct descendents of the Majors who emigrated from Pendleton District, South Carolina.

The Majors originally lived in south Dallas county (Sardis, Carlowville) near the Wilcox county line then moved through Selma during World War II and settled in west Dallas county (Safford, Orrville). The Dallas county Majors have farmed, primarily cotton, continuously for more than 150 years.
