To all of those who seek the past, I am creating this home page.
Although reasonably new to genealogy,I became interested in my past from something my Mom said to me when I was very young; that
being that the Neelys of Pipestem went back a long ways.
The main reseaech critiera is of John [Buttermilk]W. Neely, my
GGGG Grandfather. It has been a labor of love; to say the least,
tracing my family's roots. It has brought me a whole lot closer
to who I am , and researching that area of West Virginia has to
be iceing on the cake.It's a little piece of heaven on earth. I
now understand why the Neelys settled there.
This home page is actually a joint effort of myself and my sister,Mary Alice Kavick. Without her invaluable contributions I
would be still stuck at the begining.
My main surname research interest is that of the Neelys but I do
research Wiley,Farley,Pine,blankenship and Keaton.
I realize my search will never end but the friends I make and the places I see make it all worth it.
