The Clemente Saavedra Manaog of Bicol, Philippines

The Saavedra-Manaog families hailed from Bicol--the Saavedras from Albay and the Manaogs from Camarines Sur. The family roots date back to the Spanish-era and to the time when Chinese merchants are frequenting the Philippine Island. While the Saavedras are fair-skinned, the Manaogs are brown skinned. The Saavedra Partiarch in the '60s was Emiliano, Sr., the Manaog Patriarch in the '60s was Clemente, Sr. Emiliano Sr. was born sometime in 1915 and died at 82 years old on February 14, 1997. Clemente Sr. was born sometime in 1910 and died at 76 years old in 1986.
