Mann Family of Rusk County, Texas

| About Our Family Research |
|
My mother, Alice Chambers MANN began this project over fifty years ago. She collected vast amounts of information. With her passing in 1988, I stored her research materials while I travelled with the military. In 1995, everything she had worked on and saved was destroyed during Hurricane Luis. I saved some scraps, but basically, I am starting over again. I am the last of my line. I'll think of something else to put here when I have the time.

This is a short biography of my father.
- My Raw Research Notes (5 KB)
These are my raw notes as of December 2004. Much of the information was collected by my mother, Alice Chambers MANN and sent to the Frontier Times in the 1970's. I just found this posted on this web site. Talk about serendipity!
- Gravestone List (1 KB)
This list of a start but I will need to travel to both Henderson and Gainesville and visit the cemetaries. I remember visiting the Gainesville cemetary with my father in about 1955 and puttin gflowers on his father and mother's graves, and recalling him remark that "wish we had money for a real stone". There will be a stone put there or my name isn't David Edwin George Mann.
