My family,on my dads side,is down to only four of us left with the Chapman name!There are a few others ,closely related,and we try to have a reunion every year to exchange data,since there are now 4 of us trying to find out about our family.My dad had one half brother, Hargett, and his son and grandson have located family they never knew they had through this program ,and now exchange data and photos back and forth.I believe the Chapman branch of my family came to Oklahoma from Alabama or Georgia and had ties to Cooke county in Texas at one time.They lived in Thackerville Oklahoma as farmers until WW II drove them away in search of a better living than could be found in Love county Oklahoma.Now the remainung 4 are widely scattered,but remain close.One is in Tokyo,two in Oklahoma City and one in Tulsa,Oklahoma.
