I presently have details of my Great Grandfather, Rev John Allen Manton who arrived in Sydney in 1831 from London. He was a Weslyan Methodist, ordained in Covent Garden in January that year. He was born at Biggleswade, Bedfordshire in 1807, and died in Sydney in 1864.
His parents were Thomas Manton and Jane (nee Allen).
He was the youngest of 8 children, whose names I know.

I do not know who were Thomas' parents or their forebears.

I want to establish if there is any link to Rev Thomas Manton DD Rector of Stoak-Newington in 1651.
