Greetings!

This page contains some 25 years of research into the Families
of Mandin, Demay and Ferre. Four trips to France in the regions the ancestors were raised in France, plus the many research avenues used: family certificates, tombstones, genealogical research in Mairies (City Halls), Montreal Library, and the wonderful memory of Viviane Mandin have all contributed to this research!
A family history has been compiled in French, and I've written a "historical novel" involving characters from the two families from the 16th Century onward in English to avoid redundancy.
The latest trip was in November, 2001,where we found more relatives in Provence and Vendee, Haute-Vienne. The research goes on as links are made between relatives.
