O'Connor/McNamara Family Home Page

Updated September 6, 2000

I am researching the McNamara family. Michael McNamara married Mary Manion. I Don't know where. First child born in Boston,Ma on 2/24/1884. Her name was Elizabeth. Thomas, Margaret, and Henry were born in Boston. Catherine and Mary were born in Milford Mass. Elizabeth graduated form Framingham Normal School and went on to be a concert singer . Sang in Conn. and N.Y. as well as Mass. She married John A O'Connor in N.Y. on 4/1/18. They resided in Needham, Ma. for the rest of their natural lives.
Mary Manion had two sisters. Kate (went to Philadelphia to live in), and Margaret. Margaret never married.
Am unable to find birth records for any of them. Was told they were born in Boston.
Am unable to find marriage record for Mary's marriage to Michael McNamara, which must have occurred prior to 1884.
Michael died in Holyoke, Ma in Nov. of 1919 as a result of an accident. He was hit by a street car and suffered frac vert. and fx hip.
All (except Needham O,Connor's) are buried in St Mary's Cemetary in Milford Ma.
Am also searching for info on Thomas F. O'Connor.
A plaque is next to the family plot in Milford, and on it is Co. K. No dates.
James S O'Connor is also on my list. He was an Uncle of John A O'Connor. Know he was 55 in the 1899 census. He died between 1899 and 1920.
