My name is Kelly (Rolling) Mangler. I live in Bellevue, Iowa (Jackson County). I am a decendent of Rolling, Rabe, Van Dan Acker, Roeder, Hingtgen, and many more. I have been doing research since 1980's. I just recently have taken a greater interest in our family tree. The research has been exhilarating to say the least, and with the help of other family members across the United States it is all coming together. My goal is to create and draw a Vandanacker family tree starting with my children and going as far as I can get. I have enclosed all information I have found along with relatives sharing information and pictures. I will continue on this venture. My goal in the next 2 years is to hand draw a family tree to share with all my realatives.

  Doug and I are blessed with 5 children altogether. Doug has 2 Daughters Brandi, and Sarah. I have one daughter, Bailey. Together we have Drew, and Josie. That makes 5. We live right in Bellevue, Iowa in Jackson County. Thanks to all who have contributed, facts, and photos that I can now share.

  Frank married Magdelena (Maud) Hesburg in 1843. He died August 12, 1910.
• Anna Rievera (Rievers) Van Den Akker (191 KB)
  This is a picture of Anna Reivera, Leendent Van Den Akker's Wife. This would be Christinuus "Chris" Van Dan Acker's mother. She was born in Nijmegen, Netherlands, on September 27th 1796. Her parent's were Rutgerus Rievers and Barbara Janssen.

• Christiannus "Chris" Van Den Akker (367 KB)
  Chris married Gerarda "Grada" Van Keeken. He was born in Holland in 1819, and came to New York in 1846 on the ship "Amphion". He followed the trade of stair building. He was a farmer and carpenter. He married Grada in 1841. In 1857 he came to Bellevue, Iowa. The house Doug and Kelly live in now which was built in 1872 has a beautiful staircase in it built by "Chris". I was told he built the steeple on our St. Joseph's Church, in Bellevue, and also worked on the St. Patrick's Cathedral in New York. Grada was born 1821 in Nijmegen...Both Christian and Grada are buried at St.Joseph's Cemetery in Bellevue.

• Gerarda "Grada" Van Keekan Van Den Akker (330 KB)
  Grada (my Ggg Grandmother) She was born April 9, 1821 in Nijmegen. and died in Bellevue January 30, 1897. Her parents we're Jenrikus Van Keekan and Elizabeth Thijissen. She is buried at the St. Joseph's Cemetery in Bellevue, Iowa. They had 10 children.

• Nicholas Rolling and Elizabeth (Neimann) (30 KB)
  Nicholas was born in 1845 in Luxemburg. In May of 1870 her married Elizabeth. When he was 6 years old, his parents moved to America. After a short time at Lockport, Illinois, came to Bellevue, Ia and moved on a farm in Springbrook. He was a farmer. They we're married May 2, 1870 and had 9 children.

  Van married Cheri on February 4, 1967 at St. Joseph's Church in Bellevue. Their Children our Kelly (myself), Kim, and Kris. Van Died on May 13, 1976. Cheri remarried Glenn Griebel on December 9, 1977 in Bellevue. Glenn's birthday is June 19,1934. Cheri was born in Bellevue on April 4, 1946. Glenn has 2 sons, Keith and Doug and one daughter Deb.

  John born 1879 in Springbrook, Ia. He married Elizabeth on August 23, 1904. He was a rural mail carrier. They had 6 Children: Vincent, Loretta, Gen, Helen, Katherine, and Dorothy.

  Van was my father. This picture is one of my favorites. My son, Drew who is 9 now has carried on his traits. See picture of Kelly Rolling Mangler's children. My father was an artist, and Vinny (his father) and him owned Bellevue Sportsland (a fishing, tackle, bait shop) right down on front street in Bellevue.
