I have been searching for others of this family and we, together, are seeing how we are related. Our family came from Poland. The earliest members left that country when it was no longer a country and it had been divided between Prussia, Russia and Austria. Some of these family members spelled there name Cylwa and others Cilwa. Others have arrived in parts of Canada and the US as late as the 1960's.

Those we know arrived in the US were:
Anthony Cilwa who lived in NJ
Ladislaus Cilwa who lived in NYC adn NJ
Albert Cilwa (called George)who moved to MI
