I am trying to trace various branches of my familly history, these include the surnames Mantripp, Brown, Martin, and Barkess.The first three surname were located around Lowestoft, Pakefield & Kessingland in Suffolk, UK.
We have traced the Mantripp family to John Mantripp (Abt. 1750), who married a Isabella Tripp.
Recently I visited the war grave of the only Mantripp to have died in Flanders Fields, Belgium during WW1.
I would like to find more information on the Brown family as we have them back to my 3rd Great Grandfather Alfred Brown (Born Abt. 1810, Shoreditch, Middlesex) and that he married MAry Redgrave on the 15th June 1831 in St. Leonards, Shoreditch, Middlesex.
The Martin familytree goes back to 1738 with Robert Martin of Kessingland, Suffolk who married Sarah Clark of Worlingham, Suffolk and further in formation Robert or Sarah would be appreciated.
The Barkess family from Durham, UK. I have traced the family back to John Barkess (Barkass) b. Abt.1786 in Chester le Street, Durham, England who married Rebecca Redshaw on the 24th December 1810.
The Mushens Family are also from Durham, UK. I have traced back to Nicholas Mushens born before 1661 (date of his first child) around the Houghton le Spring / Washington area of Durham.
