First I would like to thank Mary Mullican Studebaker for all her time and effort in completing the Mullican and Beaver side of our family. It is extremely appreciated that she dedicated herself so selflessly in this endeavor. I will be forever grateful to her for ALL her tireless searching to gain answers to where we came from which completes who we are today. I am descendant of James Gunnell Mullikin on my Mother's side who possibly immigrated to this Country soon after the Mayflower.

I am descendant of Nicholas Joseph DesChamps on my Father's side who immigrated to this Continent (Canada) from St. Martin, Nord, France.

James Ern Mullican, of Arkansas, is my maternal grandfather.
Marylou Esther Beavers, of Arkansas, is my maternal grandmother.

Fletcher Benona "Pete" DeShong, of Texas, is my paternal grandfather.
Mary 'May' Wright, of Oklahoma, is my paternal grandmother.

My husband is Robert Paul Mangasarian, first generation, paternally. He is son of Boghos (Paul) Mangasarian of Palu, Turkey and Clari (Clara Belle) Kradjian, of Yettem, CA. who's mother Beatrice was born in Ordu, Turkey, and who's father was born in Marzivan, Turkey. All migrated to the USA because of the Genocide Massacre of the Armenians by the Turks. Boghos Mangasarian and his father were the only sole survivors from their family.

• Boghos 'Paul' Mangasarian enters USA in 1924 (42 KB)
  Orphaned at 7 after witnessing the massacre of his family in Turkey, he ended up in a Greek orphanage until age 15. His father, who had come to the U.S. pryor to the Armenian Genocide located Paul, sent for him, and passed away a few years later. This is the first photo taken of him on U.S. soil. We believe he is 15 years old and did not speak a word of English.
