Hezekiah Thacker a native of Lagrange Township, Bond County, Illinois, where he was born 21 May 1826, died at his home west of Coffeen, Illinois, 11 October 1906.
Although born in Bond County, he spent the greater part of his life in Montgomery County. He was married in 1847 to Nancy T. Jones, who died 19 May 1904. The deceased leaves surving him nine children; namely, Alonzo, Christopher, Harriet Price, Lucy Sellers all of Coffeen, James of Carthage, Missouri, Martha Ray, Mary Ray, Sarah Mc Kenzie of Sorento and Belle Jackson of Litchfield.
