Starting Sept. 5, 2014, Genealogy.com will be making a big change. GenForum
message boards, Family Tree Maker homepages, and the most popular articles
will be preserved in a read-only format, while several other features will
no longer be available, including member subscriptions and the Shop.
I began researching my lineage in 2001 and have not gotten as far as I thought I might. The search for "Moore, Woods & Rains" in Louisiana have been the hardest to pin down because of their farming ties. But the search for "Goodman, Bailey, Edwards & Nichols" in Hot Springs, Arkansas has been a little more friendly to me. Hopefully this page will link me to those I have never met the way it has created a bridge between some of the generations in my family. This search has brought the surviving members closer together and you cannot ask for much more than this. This search has proved to be very expensive, yet completely rewarding. To all of my family out there I hope to find you and at least have the opportunity to say "HI".
Joseph Allen Goodman, Rozilla Bailey & Linnie (158 KB) This is a photo of Linnie Lee Goodman's parents as well as of her as a baby. Neat fact here is that Rozilla has eight names as does her sisters. Her name is Cynthia Lucinda Rozilla Armendia Melvina Elmira Candacina Gardner Bailey. They hailed fron Hot Springs County, Arkansas.
Sarah Louisa Nichols (35 KB) Rozilla's mother and wife to Lorenzo Bailey. Sarah's parents are Solomon C. Nichols and Elizabeth Anne Woods. Not much is known about Sarah and her parents. I hope to gain more information on the Nichols/Woods family.
Idalia Rains (315 KB) This is Clarence's mother. The only infomation I have on her husband is his name is Francis Moore, born about 1869.
Commodore P. Rains & Rouvena Rains (380 KB) These are Idalia's parents. Rouvena's maiden name is unknown and some information makes reference her name is Rouena instead. They were farmers in Louisiana.
