About Our Family Research


My great grandfather wa John D Calvert. He was born inc1838. He is shown in 18880 U,S. Census as a farmer in Elk twp Noble County Ohio.He married Louisa C Stout, whos parents were from Pa,They had several children including my mother Myrtle,William M, Cecil D,Jacob,Louisa Jane. There may have been a second narriage. My mother talked about half sisters living in Barnsville Ohio. My grandfather served in the Civil War, was a prisoner,voluntered again and was in some of the final battles. I have copies of his discharge papers, and an account of some of his battles.
