I am trying to research my family tree and have managed to trace my grandfathers birth place to Newcastle under lyne Staffordshire England. I also know that he was married to Phoebe Fryer of Prestwich Lancashire his name was George Albert Matthews. I would be grateful for any information about tracing family history in Newcastle Under Lyne Staffordshire as I can not travel there except on the internet. George Albert Matthews was born 1890 and died in 1950 and is buried in North Manchester at Queens Park Cematry. I would also be interestead in any information about Phoebe Fryer of Prestwich Lancashire.
