Don Matthews was born in Syracuse, NY in 1909, moved to Owego, NY, then later moved 10 miles north to Newark Valley, NY. He joined IBM Corporation when moving from Syracuse where he worked for 33 years. He had three children, Gary, Linda, and William. He was deceased on November 6, 2002 at 93. Wife Audra (Field) Matthews was deceased in 1991 at age of 79.
