I am just begining to search for some of my ancestors.I have found that i am an ancestor of the quackenbushs who were in New York in the early 1800`my father was Arthur Roy Hughs who was born 11-25-1903 in ottertail,Minnesota, woodside township. He died at 40 years of age in Seattle Wash. onApril 26, 1944 where he was working while his family lived in Park Rapids, Minn.Dean Theodore Rogge , born in Little Falls, Minn. is also a relative according to research. I am really interested in learning more about my grandparents, my fathers parents,Addison Gordon Hughs and his mother Jessie Beltz, Hughs. Addison was married to a lady named Elizabeth Hendrin first and she passed away leaving a baby girl named Stella. He [Gordon] was born inNew York in 1867 i believe. He had a brother named Warren whom no one seems to know anything about. Gordon and Jessie had 9 children, four of whom died at birth orson after.Al of their children are pased away by now, they were, WAlter-Zoa-Elsie-Roy [my father] and Ray Hughs.Because my dad died when we were young we lost contact with nearly all of our family whe my mother remaried and we moved quite a bit.I would be intereted in hearing from any of my relatives.
