My name is Mary Virginia Hawkins Mattke. I married Paul Wayne Mattke. Our Family includes Paul and I and four children: Pamela Ann Mattke and husband, Johnny Bruce Jarrett; Paul Thomas Mattke and wife, Sharon Lynne Knott, Melissa Marie Mattke and husband Daniel Robert May; and Suzanne Nicole Mattke. We have four grandchildren Megan Elizabeth Mattke, Kacie Lynne Mattke, Jacob Paul Mattke and Christopher John Jarrett. I(Mary) have started a search for our family trees. I have an extensive search on both sides of my families and some on Paul W.'s. The names include families of Hawkins, Baldwin, Holcombe, Reeves, Rankin, Mattke, Bond, Judge, Jarrett and more to be found. The Holcombes I've done alot of research through visiting with family members at our yearly family reunion of the "Baldwins" at Ola, Tx. near Dallas. We have the family reunion which consists of the children of Charles Simpson Baldwin's children. We have an 1890 or so family photo of the Charles Simpson Baldwin family. Charles Simpson Baldwin married Sarah Ellen Holcombe, my great-grandmother. My lineage can be traced by a book "The Holcombes: Nationbuilders" by McPherson, 1947, available at the Library of Congress CS71.H725 Work on the Mattke's, Hawkins, Reeves, Bond, Judge are beginning. There are several "older" generations living who have tremendous knowledge. I have created a Memory Book of the Baldwin-Holcombe family reunions and I hope to interest my younger family members into the quest of ancestry.
