My genealogy research involves all my ancestorial lines. My maiden name is Bounds, from Calhoun County, Mississippi. I am also searching for Aven, settled in Pitsboro, Mississippi; Spence & Wendle, Pennsylvania, North & South Carolina & Texas; West & DeWalt, North & South Carolina & Texas; Childers,Laird & Engledow, Texas & New Mexico; and Mattingly, Indiana.
I know that my great grandfather, Joseph Spence came to Texas from Tennessee in 1859, but I cannot find his father's name. Also I know that my other great grandfather, Dr. Jacob S. West came to Texas around 1860 but I cannot find his father's name either.
