Rev. George Duffield Family

This research concerns the lineage of Rev. George Duffield DD. The first Rev. George Duffield left Ballymena Ireland and landed in MD. They soon moved to PA. His son Rev. George Duffield DD (1732-1790)was a Chaplain of the Continental Congress. The next in line is George Duffield (1762-1816). He was a merchaant and first State Comptroller of PA. Rev. George Duffield DD Sr (1792-1868)preached for 50 years in Carlisle, PA and Detroit, MI. George Duffield, Jr. DD (1818-1888) is best known for the Christian hymnal "Stand Up, Stand Up For Jesus".
My research branches here with the family of George Sr. His family includes: George, Jr.; Divie Bethune; William Ward; Samuel Pierce; Isabella Graham; and Henry Martin.
I also have information about George, Sr.'s wife's family the Bethune's. They were very religious as well and very active in social ventures.
