Research on the family tree began in the 1990's. We travelled to Ireland and researched the records to locate valuable marriage license information on John Joseph Monaghan in Aughadoon, Belmullet, Ireland (County Mayo). The Catholic church in the area helped us locate the record from 1848. The rest of the research was fairly simple from that point on.
