I was born in Richmond, Va. 10/15/48 and resided in Mechanicsville, Va. Until I entered the US Army in May, 1969. My father is currently in the VA Nursing Home in Richmond, Va. His birthdate is 11/03/21. My mother, Emma Katherine Talley Mathews was born July 11, 1924 and died June 23, 1964 at the young age of 39 due to complications from diabetes. The only grandparent that was alive was my grandfather, Milton L. Mathews who was born Nov. 23, 1896 and died Aug. 11, 1965. My grandmother was Estelle M. Mathews born Mar.31, 1896 and died June 25, 1947. My greatgrandparents were Mattie L born Aug.5, 1859 and died Sept. 30, 1941 and Manley M. Mathews born June 17,1872 and died Oct.23, 1923.
