This history of the Traeger family starts in the early 1800s with the marriage of Carl Gothlieb Traeger and Johanna Christina Dunsch. They are believed to come to America in 1869 and settle in the LaSalle and Peru, IL area. They had three known children, Carl August, who married Emilia Fandrei; John F. August, who maried Amelia Wajan; and Ernst, who married Elizabeth Mindock. This covers the decendants of this family.
