The viewing of the body was held on 5/2/2000 at 2:00pm. Funeral services were held at Nuuanu Mortuary in Hawaii on 5/3/2000 at 6pm. Her ashes were buried on 5/4/2000 at 10am, and Pastor Harrison Peters, grandson in law, performed the last service.
Ushi's parents were Ushi Higa and Kame Goya, of Okinawa. The Kame Goya family had 8 children: Kama, Jira, Kiyusuke, Kame, Kiyuji, Ushi, Matsu, and Usa.
Saburo Matayoshi's parents are (fill in the blanks), of Okinawa, and had (X) children. Saburo Matayoshi was born (x/x/xx) and died on (x/x/1948).
Ushi Goya came to Hawaii as a Picture Bride in 1920, and was married to Saburo Matayoshi on (x/x/xx). They had 11 children, Shintaro, Kimie, Shinjo, Shinsei, Shinso, Nobuo, Shizue, Shingen, Ansei, Tomiko, and Hideko. She is survived by Shintaro, Nobuo, Shizue, Shingen, Ansei and Tomiko and their children.
