I am researching my husband's line and here it is:
1.David Albert Matteson Sr m. Sarah Casaday (NY, WI, Iowa, MO, KS)
2. Charles E Matteson m. Hattie J Packard (MO)
3. William Thomas Mattison m. Nora Rebecca Ruth Tinkle (MO)
4. Leo Ward Mattison m. Francis Morris (OK)
5. Leo Steven Roy Mattison m. Toni Groff (OK)
6. Steven Andrew Mattison (My husband) (OK)
I am looking for the parents of either David Albert Matteson or Sarah Casaday. I know that David was born abt 1824 in NY and Sarah was born abt 1834 in NY. The earliest record I can find of them is the 1857 state census record in Olmstead, MN. I do know that their two oldest children were born in WI bet 1853-1854. I don't know if they met and married in NY and then moved or if they met and then married in WI. They had 7 children: David Albert Jr, James A, Alma Ann, Phebe A, Charles E, Emma E, and Carrie Belle. They married abt 1852. They moved from WI - MN - IA - MO - KS. There was a Phebe and Duncan Clark that moved with them until IA where Phebe and Duncan died. I believe that Phebe may be David's mother who remarried and this is why they lived together.
