The Mattia family of Andover, England.

My name is Tim Matts (this is not a variant of Mattia, but a completely bizarre coincidence - the name of my step-father - possibly Dutch).

Alfonso Mattia of Andover, UK is my great grandfather - I am the grandson of his adopted daughter Felomana Mattia (now Phylis Norman) of Barrow upon soar, Leicestershire, UK.

Little is known about those of the family who left Calabritta, near Napoli, Italia around the turn of the last century for New York.

This is very much a shot in the dark.

Those of us who live in Leicestershire UK would be extremely interested to hear from anyone of the name Mattia in the USA, and for my own personal interest, any of the name living in the New York area.

I am currently living in Denmark and can recieve information on behalf of my grandmother for whom the research is of great personal value.
