I am researching the Jardine family. My mother was born a Jardine in Poynton, Cheshire and later moved to Levenshulme, Manchester, Eng., After her marriage she moved to Leicester, England, where I was born.
I have traced my forefathers back to John Jardine. I although have three different birthdates for his son Hamilton who married Mary McCullough. I am led to believe Hamilton was born in Ireland between 1759 and 1722. He lived in Scotland in the Glasgow area working in the mines. John Jardine was born in Dumfries Scotland.
