The Maxwells of Cape Town, South Africa Updated January 11, 2009
About Our Family Research
My name is Grant Maxwell. I am 17 and I live in Cape Town, South Africa. I have been interested in finding out about my paternal past for many years and recently I got my dad, Reg, into it as well. We are relative newcomers to the whole genealogy thing but hope to find some good information about my history and heritage. In 2005 I was able to trace my paternal GGG-Grandfather (thanks to some great help from my Great-Aunt Ailsa) , who lived in the late 1800s. His fathers are known to be Scotish, but I can't find out anything about them. Since then, my research has been stagnant, but I am hoping to revive my tree over the next year. There is a lot of info below, or you can contact me if you have anything extra info that could help.
Grant Maxwell Family Tree (2 KB) This is a relatively small tree, showing only 6 generations, but it will be updated soon. It only shows the direct males and their wives though, which is all I'm really focusing on at this stage. Enjoy!
